Dr. Cayla Ray was born and raised in Western Pennsylvania in a small town that has more cows than people. She obtained her BS in Biology from the University of Pittsburgh, where she had the pleasure of playing collegiate tennis. She later attended the Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Health for her DMD – which is where she also met her best friend and husband, Pearce. In 2019 they moved to Salt Lake City, UT so that Dr. Cayla could complete her Pediatric Dental Residency at Primary Children’s Hospital.
Dr. Cayla has a passion for whole body health care and pursued a Certificate in Public Health with a dental emphasis. She is also board-certified. Her training covers extensive hours in sedation, general anesthesia, trauma, and medically complex cases as it relates to the dental health of children, adolescents, and individuals with special health care needs. Dr. Cayla has led several dental mission trips and believes that prevention and education is just as important as any traditional treatment or advanced technology.
As someone who suffers with dental anxiety herself, Dr. Cayla values genuine interactions and believes having fun is the root of any good experience! In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their two fur babies, traveling, and attempting to make gluten free food that tastes yummy!
